  • A list of all your posted comments on YouTube will show up on your screen in chronological order. The most recent comments will be on the top, while the older ones will be down the list.

  • Find the comment that you want to edit in this list and click on the video link next to “Commented On.”

  • YouTube will take you to the video where you made that comment, and you will see your comment at the top as a highlighted comment. From there, you can edit it in any way you like. You can even choose to delete it if you want.

How to view and edit YouTube comment history on an iOS device?

Now even for iPhone and iPad users, the process is similar.

  • Go to YouTube’s homepage on your browser and sign in to your Google account to open up your YouTube account.
  • Click on the three parallel lines icon in the top left corner of your window.
  • A list of options catering to different things will appear on your screen.
  • Here, you will see the option of “History.” Click on it.
  • Then click on the “Comments” option at the bottom of your screen.

So the process is similar on an iOS device too. If YouTube takes you to the mobile site on your iOS device, go to your browser settings and choose the “Desktop Site” mode. You will be able to follow the guide mentioned above then.

How to view and edit YouTube comment history on an Android device?

Even though you use YouTube as an application on your Android device, it will take you to your browser if you try to access the history section of it. So we will see how you can edit your YouTube comments using a browser on your Android smartphone.

  • Go to YouTube’s homepage in your mobile browser. You will be taken to the mobile version of YouTube.
  • Tap on your profile icon in the top right corner of your window.

  • Tap on “History & privacy.”

  • Then tap on “Manage all activity.”

  • Tap on the three parallel lines icon in the top left corner of your window.

  • Choose “Other Google activity.”

  • Scroll down, and you will find the “Comments on YouTube videos” section. Under it, tap on “View Comments.”

  • Then you will see a page with all your comments in chronological order.

  • Tapping on the video will take you to the video, and from there, you can look for a video to edit it. Or you can tap on the “X” icon next to it, and the comment will be deleted.

If you cannot edit your comment on a video, then the chances are that either that video has been removed or it has been changed from public to private video. The video might be removed by the uploader or by the YouTube team if it violates any terms and conditions of YouTube. And if you can’t find your comment alone in the entire list of comments, then the uploader might have deleted your comment selectively.

So that is how you can access your YouTube comment history and edit or delete any comment that you have made in the past.
