The great open-world action role-playing game from the house of Tripwire Interactive, Maneater, has released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in the last week of May 2020. The game lets players play with the fins of the legendary ocean predator and hunt down not only the aquatic wildlife but the beachgoers at Port Clovis as well.  Despite its clearly over-the-top concept, this enticing Shark fighting role-play has become a fan-favorite title. The gaming community has hailed its entertainment value and charming graphics depicting the oceanic community. Today our guide is about finding Grottos in the game.

A critical aspect of Maneater is moving fast through the vast expanse of the ocean on the map. Grottos serve to help you with this purpose. They are basically areas that serve as safe havens for your Shark. They also allow you to equip any upgrades and fast travel to any spot you wish to. There is a unique Grotto in every individual area of the map. You can use it to move fast from one area to the other. However, you must first locate the Grottos to order to have access to fast travel the next time you come across. Now let’s start our Grottos guide.

How to Find Grottos in Maneater?

In Maneater, finding Grottos can sometimes be easy and a bit hard at other times. If you choose to ignore the story and focus on exploring the map as much as possible, then finding Grottos can be quite a tedious job if you don’t already know their precise location. If you intend to unlock most of the map ahead of the main storyline, it is advisable to locate each Grotto to use as a fast travel point later in the game.

A reasonably reliable method of finding Grottos is by starting your hunt in the central region of the area. Fortunately, the Grotto will generally serve as a point of easy access to most areas of the region it is in. Of course, it needs to be present in a somewhat helpful location for this.

In our experience, by far, the best way to find a Grotto is to keep an eye out for a specific buoy in the area. These kinds of buoys will possess bright orange cables that extend gracefully downwards into the Grotto. These can serve as easy and distinct markers for a Grotto when you first reach an area. It’s possible that these cables are intended to power the little submarines present in the Grottos. That would enable the documentary crew to keep filming your underwater adventures and broadcast them on Animal Planet.

After finding each of the Grottos, you will find that fast traveling will become much easier for you. The Grottos will serve as your hub in each region, allowing you to quickly cross over between different areas. This is a useful feature if you are seeking to obtain all the collectibles in the game.
