In the Final Fantasy 7 Remake, you are required to find and collect all the music discs in Midgar for the Disc Jockey trophy. In total, there are 31 Music Discs and in this guide, we’ll show you all music discs locations in Final Fantasy Remake.
Some music discs are easier to find than others. Furthermore, you will have to interact with NPCs as well to get the music discs. We will show you how to get all the music discs in numerical order. Hence, this isn’t the order that you will find the discs in.
All Music Discs Locations in Final Fantasy 7 Remake
Here are the exact locations of the music discs in the game.
Music Disc 1: The Prelude – Chapter 3 | Sector 7
You need to purchase the disc from the Item Shop in Sector 8 where you will go looking for water filters during Chapter 3.
Music Disc 2: Bombing Mission – Chapter 7 | Mako Reactor 5
This disc can be purchased from the vending machine towards the end of Mako Reactors 5. Once you defeat the Air Buster boss, make your way over to the door which has to be opened by pressing three switches at the same time. The vending machine will be located right behind the door.
Music Disc 3: Tifa’s Theme – Chapter 3 | Sector 7
You can find this music disc in Seventh Heaven by interacting with the Jukebox during Chapter 3.
Music Disc 4: Barret’s Theme – Chapter 4 | Sector 7
Purchase this disc from the Item Shop in the train station in Sector 7.
Music Disc 5: Lurking in the Darkness – Chapter 15 | Collapsed Sector 7 Plate, Central Tower
This disc can be purchased from the vending machine you come across in Chapter 15 near the bench.
Music Disc 6: Let the Battles Begin – Chapter 6 | Train Graveyard
Purchase the disc from the vending machine outside the train warehouse control room.
Music Disc 7: Turk’s Theme – Chapter 14 | Sector 6/5 Road, Near a lake
You need to purchase this disc from the old woman near a lake. Head north from Wall Market towards Sector 5 and when you reach the loop in the road, go left until you see an old woman near a lake.
Music Disc 8: Under the Rotting Pizza – Chapter 9 | Wall Market
This disc can be found by interacting with the jukebox which can be found on the street in an alley south of the Inn in Wall Market.
Music Disc 9: The Oppressed – Chapter 10 | Sewer System
Buy the disc from the vending machine in the break room area after you drain the first aqueduct in the Sewer System.
Music Disc 10: The Honey Bee Inn – Chapter 9 | Wall Market
This disc can be bought from the Pharmacy in Wall Market.
Music Disc 11: Don of the Slums – Chapter 14 | Don Corneo’s Mansion Basement
After you rescue Tifa in Chapter 9, you can purchase the disc from the vending machine in Don Corneo’s Mansion.
Music Disc 12: Fight On! – Chapter 14 | Corneo Colosseum
There is a Souvenir Shop near the entrance to the Colosseum from where you can buy this disc.
Music Disc 13: The Chase – Chapter 14 | Sewers
While heading towards Corneo’s lair, you can purchase this disc from the vending machine in the Sewers.
Music Disc 14: Main Theme of FFVII – Chapter 13 | Shinra Testing Facility
Purchase the disc from the vending machine in the Shinra Testing Facility. The vending machine is located in the B1 breakroom.
Music Disc 15: On Our Way – Chapter 13 | Evergreen Park
This disc can be purchased from the item shop in Evergreen Park near the playground. The item shop is located in Sector 6, near the entrance to Sector 7.

Music Disc 16: Good Night, Until Tomorrow – Chapter 14 | Wall Market
To get this disc, you need to interact with the old man in Wall Market and you’ll get the disc for free.
Music Disc 17: Farm Boy – Chapter 9 | Wall Market
Near the cowboy theme bar in Wall Market, head up the stairs next to Chadley and interact with the woman wearing a cowgirl hat.
Music Disc 18: Electric de Chocobo – Chapter 6 | Sector 4 Upper Plate
This disc can be purchased from the vending machine in the Ventilation Facilities Control Room. To reach there, you have to take the cargo elevator and then take the smaller elevator. The vending machine will be located in the first room.
Music Disc 19: Costa del Sol – Chapter 8 | Sector 5, Center District
Purchase the disc from the Material shop in the Sector 5 Slums.
Music Disc 20: Gold Saucer – Chapter 8 | Sector 5, Children’s Hideout
This disc can be bought from the Moogle Emporium in the children’s secret hideout.
Music Disc 21: Cait Sith’s Theme – Chapter 8 | Sector 5 Train Station
Purchase the disc from the vending machine at Sector 5’s Train Station.
Music Disc 22: Cosmo Canyon – Chapter 9 | Wall Market
Buy the disc from the vending machine at the end of the alley after you complete the second Robot-hand puzzle with Aerith.
Music Disc 23: Descendant of Shinobi – Chapter 8 or 14 | Sector 5 Undercity Station
In case you missed it in Chapter 8, you can purchase the disc in Chapter 14 as well. You need to interact with Johnny who is an NPC in the game. He will be in the Sector 5 Undercity Train Station.
Music Disc 24: Wutai – Chapter 14 | Sector 6, Urban Advancement District
Interact with the NPC who will be near the entrance of Don Corneo’s mansion.
Music Disc 25: Tango of Tears – Chapter 8 | Sector 5
Interact with the jukebox near the Leaf House in Sector 5.
Music Disc 26: Let the Battles Begin – REMAKE – Chapter 9 | Honeybee Inn
While playing the dance mini-game in Honeybee Inn you need to get 10 “great” ratings.
Music Disc 27: Hip Hop de Chocobo – Chapter 3 | Sector 7
Speak with the NPC who is near the Pizza sign in front of the clubhouse near the Seventh Heaven bar.
Music Disc 28: Stamp – Chapter 5 | Tunnel, Sector E, Rail Yard
After defeating the Sentry Launchers, you can purchase this disc in the Corkscrew Tunnel’s vending machine located in a side room.
Music Disc 29: The Midgar Blues – Chapter 9 | Sector 6, Wall Market
Outside the bar in the Wall Market area, interact with the NPC who is singing to get the disc.
Music Disc 30: Stand Up – Chapter 14 | Honeybee Inn
Speak to the woman there in the alley, after you turn left from the Honeybee Inn.
Music Disc 31: Scarlett’s Theme – Chapter 16 | Shinra Tower
In the Combat Simulator Longue, interact with the jukebox to get the disc.
