How to Debrand or Remove Retail Mode of Huawei Mate 20 Lite

Before getting with the process you’ve to follow some guidelines, get the patched ramdisk files and other tools. Check the pre-requisite section for that.

Pre-Requisite

  • This guide is exclusively for Huawei Mate 20 Lite. Don’t use it on other devices.
  • Charge your device up to 50% or more.
  • Ensure that you’ve enabled USB Debugging on your device.
  • You must unlock the bootloader of the Huawei Mate 20 Lite.
  • The Huawei Mate 20 Lite must be rooted with Magisk.
  • Download No check recovery.
  • Install ADB fastboot on your system

The Process to Rebrand or Remove Retail Mode of Mate 20 Lite

Step-1 Boot into fastboot mode by switching off device > Press Power + Vol Down and once in Fastboot mode, connect your phone to the PC using the USB cable.

Step-2 Now you have to flash the nocheck recovery and Patched Ramdisk.

Step-3 type the following commands

fastboot flash ramdisk mate20lite_patched_boot.img fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk SNE_recovery_NoCheck.img

Step-4 Now Boot into device > Go to Settings >  Enable adb debugging in developer settings.

Step-5 Copy firmware files to your device’s internal storage via MTP.

Step-6

update_data_full_public.zip -> update_data_public.zip update.zip -> update.zip update_full_SNE-LXX_hw_eu.zip -> update_all_hw.zip

Step-7 Install Magisk Manager on your device.

Step-8 Copy OEM info binary file to device internal storage.

Step-9 Start ADB and type the following commands one by one.

adb shell su accept the prompt at your Mate 20 Lite mkdir /data/local/tmp mv /sdcard/oeminfo /data/local/tmp cd /data/local/tmp chmod +x oeminfo

Step-10 Now type the following commands and execute all at once.
