If you have been playing Stranded Deep, you must be knowing there are a few things that can be very dangerous for you. One of them is getting poisoned. Players get poisoned by animals in the game, and some players have a hard time curing it. If you have been poisoned in the game and wondering how to cure it or make an antidote, here is a quick guide on the same.
How to Cure Poison in Stranded Deep?
First of all, let’s talk about how you can get poisoned. Basically, in Stranded Deep, a number of animals can poison you. There are no plants that can poison you so you are pretty safe on that part. Moving on the animals that can poison you, here is the list:-

- Lionfish
- Sea Snake
- Sea Urchin
- Crown of Thorns Starfish
You might be wondering the list is pretty small, but there is a catch. Only two of the five can be killed. That is, only the lionfish and snake can be killed in the game. The crown of thorns starfish, the sea urchin, and the sea snake can’t be killed. That makes you pretty vulnerable to those animals. For that very reason, you should know how to make an antidote. Follow the given steps and you will have an antidote in no time.
1. Make Sure Your Crafting is Levelled Up
First of all, you need to ensure that your crafting is up to a certain level before you can craft the antidote. To craft an antidote, crafting needs to be at least Level 3. However, if you haven’t reached level 3, there is no way you can cure poison. This can get pretty annoying. However, if you follow the list above, you would know what animals to avoid and be able to avoid getting poisoned as well.
You might be wondering, how can you level up crafting? Well, it’s pretty easy. You need to keep crafting simple tools and you will level up. In the previous guide, we mentioned how to craft the lashings and that also included crafting cutting tools. The good thing is crafting both of them increases your level.
2. Crafting a Coconut Flask
Once you ensure that you are above the required level, you need to craft the coconut flask. The coconut flask is the material in which you will craft the poison in. If you are level 3 already, all you need to do is find coconuts.
Coconuts can be found all over the map. Just go near a coconut tree and you can find coconuts lying on the ground. If you don’t find one lying on the ground, simply use your crude bow and you can knock a coconut onto the ground. Once you have a coconut, next thing you need to do is to craft lashing. If you don’t know how to craft lashing, refer to our previous guide in which we explained how to craft the same. Once you have the lashing and the coconut flask, just go to the crafting menu and you will easily be able to craft the coconut flask.
- Finding a Pipi Plant
This is the hardest part of crafting the antidote. Once you have the coconut flask, you just need to find the pipi plant to craft the antidote. However, there’s a catch. The pipi plant is exceedingly rare so it is not at all easy to find one. Not to forget, Pipi plants are the only plants in the game that can cure poison.
Coming to finding Pipi plants, the can be found on islands with giant rocks. Make sure you avoid any poisonous snakes in those islands since the islands containing these plants are full of poisonous snakes. A small tip is that the plants are found on the shorelines, growing in patches.
The good thing is that you can farm Pipi plants as well. So if you need them frequently, you can grow them in your farm for ample supply of antidote. To farm Pipi plants, first craft a crude hoe. Once that’s done use 4 wood sticks and 1 lashing and create a farm plot. You can farm Pipi plants after creating your plot.
- Crafting the Poison Antidote
Once you have the coconut flask and the Pipi plant, you are all set to go. All you need to do is head to the crafting menu and craft the antidote. To craft the antidote you need two Pipi plants and one coconut flask. As soon as you craft the antidote, you can consume it to get rid of the poison. You will instantly be detoxicated.
