In order to complete Lingering Malady, you’ll be asked to locate four things when you get the search. Both of these are situated on the rooftops of the city. Warp to the upper warp point, because you’re going to get a high field. You can get them in any order. But the half-circle route I took was moving pretty fast.
If you have trouble hitting a certain roof, try going up to a higher structure, or use a stone wall to drop down to the one you want to go to. None of them is at the highest point, so gliding is an easy way to get where you need to go.

How to Complete Lingering Malady in Genshin Impact
Lingering Malady is a quest that starts at the Adventure Rank 30 in Mondstadt from Aramis. Aramis can normally be located outside the Cathedral, at the base of the stairs. You’ll need to locate a few flyers and banners spread across the city for this search. Here’s how to complete Lingering Illness in Genshin Effect.
There are four posters and billboard locations in Mondstaft that you’ll need to collect for this search.
- North wall of the town
- The roof of the Adventurers Guild
- On top of the pub
- On the top of a blacksmith
Grab all of them, then go back to Aramis to complete the search. A little trick for this is to keep your eyes peeled for chests and bird eggs as you’re exploring the top of the houses. There are a lot of hidden chests in Mondstadt, and bird nests are numerous, yielding a lot of eggs that can be hard to find.
We suggest teleporting to the western waypoint at the top of the Knights of Favonius HQ and working your way around Mondstadt clockwise. Let’s get started now.
Rooftop
Start with gliding southeast over the Favonius Knights building towards the next rooftop. You will notice there’s a poster on the top of the house.

Then, head southeast and reach the roof west of the blacksmith’s place. There’s another poster on the end of the roof.
The Wall
Now, you’re going to want to climb the wall of Mondstadt. Somehow, one of the Merchant’s billboards blew up here. You will see it sitting at the top of the wall at the following spot.
Alchemist’s rooftop
Finally, make your way to the Alchemy table crafting area. Go up to the roof, where you’ll see the last poster up there.
The completion of the Lingering Malady Quest gives +100 Adventure EXP, along with the following items:
- Northern Smoked Chicken
- Hero’s Wit x6
- Mora x20,000
